Automotive treasures “nobody’s seen in 30-60 years” will be available at the Fall Carlisle Collection Car Auction later this month in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
The wide range of items – including vintage cars and more – comes from the personal life-long collection of Bill Miller, co-owner and co-founder of Carlisle Events.
“This is stuff that nobody’s seen in 30-60 years,” Miller tells Old Cars Weekly. “This is the interesting thing. These are items that haven’t been to swap meets across the country. This is all fresh stuff that I’ve had for all these years.”
Among the items will be 20 collector cars, many original and with low mileage, along with lots of parts, merchandise, collectibles, literature, and more.
The collectibles and merchandise will be auctioned on Sept. 26-27 at 10 a.m. daily at 1188 Spring Road in Carlisle, while the cars will follow at 3 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Carlisle Expo Center at 100 King Street.
During an onsite tour, Old Cars Weekly witnessed “boxes of toy cars that dealerships would give a customer when they bought a real sized version of that car, a new and never fired late ’80s era engine from a Corvette Challenge car, ’70s era AMT Snow Sled with trailer, a boat motor, vintage scuba gear, literature, automotive emblems, automotive promo reels, slides, books, porcelain and neon signs, bikes, Hess trucks, posters, and more.”
You can watch a brief video tour and interview with Miller to learn more about the items and their history at the Carlisle Events YouTube channel. Check out CarlisleAuctions.com for more information about the auction.
Founded in 1974 by friends Bill Miller and Chip Miller, events hosted at Carlisle attract enthusiasts annually from around the world.
