It’s hard to think of a car that’s more American than the Chevy Corvette, right?
But this year, there are actually 10 other vehicles that rank ahead of the 2022 Stingray on Cars.com’s third annual American-Made Index.
After finishing fifth last year in the ranking, Corvette – assembled in Bowling Green, Kentucky – dipped to No. 11 this year.
In the study, Cars.com ranked 95 vehicles through the five same criteria: assembly location, parts content, engine origins, transmission origins, and U.S. manufacturing workforce.
Tesla finished with all four of its vehicles in the top 10, including the Model Y at No. 1, Model 3 at No. 2, Model X at No. 5, and Model S at No. 6.
Others in the Top 5 were the Lincoln Corsair at No. 3 and Honda Passport at No. 4, while rounding out the rest of the top 10 were the Jeep Cherokee at No. 7 and a trio of Hondas in the last three spots, Ridgeline at No. 8, Odyssey at No. 9, and Pilot at No. 10.
