It’s September and the Will Smith Oscars slap still has some headlines left in it. Thanks to Will Smith’s latest full apology video everyone is revisiting the situation months later. Will Smith’s video seemed to really pave the way for his full return to social media and most importantly a sign of his return to working in Hollywood. While the video seemed genuine and he took accountability we all wanted to know Chris Rocks’ opinion on the video. Rock has yet to address the situation on record, but if you pay to see him live you might just get a tidbit of his feelings on the slap.

Chris Rock Responds To Will Smith’s “Hostage” Apology Video, Dave Chappelle Claims Will Wore A Mask For Years

Chris Rock is currently on a European tour with Dave Chappelle and this Saturday they took over the 02 Arena and Chris directly addressed Will Smith. Rock hit the stage first and according to Deadline, wasted no time hitting on the Will Smith topic. He responded to Will’s apology video with a very direct “f**k your hostage video”. Rock went on to state “Yes that s**t hurt, He played Ali. Can’t even play Floyd Mayweather” before bragging he still went to work the next day.

This was the first time Rock directly addressed the apology video in public. The night before Dave Chappelle gave Rock his props for always being authentic while stating he thought Will “did an impression of a perfect man for 30 years”. Even though Dave is a comedian the truth in that line is anything but funny.
