First customer-ordered Z06s are scheduled to be built this week

The 2023 Corvette Z06’s slow march towards production continues with some good news that the first customer-ordered Z06s have hit Status 3400. This is the last Status Event before the car starts down the assembly line, and the next update these customers will receive is Status 3800 – Vehicle Produced!

We know that Rick Hendrick’s VIN 001 70th Anniversary Corvette Z06 will be the first customer-ordered Z06 built on the assembly line, and Mr.H’s first retail Convertible shouldn’t be that far behind. Our friends at City Chevrolet had told us previously they had Z06 TPWs for the week of 9/12.

We also have knowledge of several customer Z06 orders at 3300 status as of last Friday, and these were showing a TPW of 9/26.

When the first customer-ordered C8 Corvette Stingray was completed, Chevy shared that photo far and wide, and we hope they do the same for the first customer-ordered Z06 as a way to show the naysayers that production has started. It may not be happening at the rate we want, but it is happening, and that’s a step in the right direction.
