The Callaway C7 GT3-R Corvette racer rides again at Germany’s Hickenheimring this weekend thanks to a new partnership with the French oil manufacturer Kennol who introduced the new livery last week. The Callaway GT3-R will take part in Europe’s Ultimate Cup Series for 2022, with the 4th round taking place at the German track in Hockenheim.
This Callaway GT3-R racer will be chassis #04, and it will be taking on the GT3s from Mercedes, Ferrari, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche in this stop. One thing that is not yet clear is if this will be just a single race entry or if they will also be taking the car to stops 5 and 6 on the schedule, Magny-Cours and Paul Ricard, both located in France.
The livery of the KENNOL Callaway GT3-R is very familiar with the car done in Black with yellow and red accents. A giant C7 Jake mascot appears on the hood of the car, while KENNOL is displayed prominently on the doors and rear wing.
In the announcement, KENNOL says the 6.2-liter GT3-R engine will be protected by their in-house lubrication products. The engine oil will be KENNOL ULTIMA 10W-60, while the transmission will use KENNOL EASYSHIFT 75W-90.
This is currently the only Callaway chassis racing in Europe. Callaway Competition announced in February 2022 they will be taking a break in racing competition to work on their new C8 Corvettes.
